Here is a picture of my Kanji book. This book has the first set of 80 Kanji that students in Japan learn. By the end of grammar school Japanese students know 1006 kanji!!!! WOW!!(Along with the phonetic hiragana, katakana and romanji forms of writing!!!) I finished the hiragana and katakana and in May I started learning kanji. I hope to know a few hundred by the time I leave Okinawa.

Learning Kanji
